UAE envoy meets British minister
London, 30 March 2017, WAM - Suleiman Hamed Salem Al Mazrouei, the UAE Ambassador to the United Kingdom, UK, has met with UK Secretary of State for International Trade, Liam Fox, in his office at Westminster.
During the meeting, they discussed mutual co-operation and how best to strengthen it. The two parties also talked about ways to bolster trade exchange and tourism between the UAE and the UK.
Fox stressed that the UK was prepared to receive more UAE and GCC investments, especially after its exit from the European Union.
The trade exchange between the UAE and the UK has touched GBP14 billion. However, the UAE Embassy is eyeing an ambitious plan in which trade exchange is expected to reach GBP25 billion by 2020.
The UAE is a major Arab trade partner for Britain and the fourth market in the world for British exports. The UAE possess state-of-the-art infrastructure and a strategic location, with easy access to two billion people in surrounding region. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
