H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister, discussed with Singapore's Foreign Minister K. Shanmugam, bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation in all fields of mutual interest between the two countries.
SINGAPORE and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have agreed to set up a joint committee to explore bilateral cooperation in a wide variety of sectors. The move is reflected in a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish the Singapore-UAE Joint Committee.
Dr. Hadef bin Jowan Al Dhahiri, Minister of Justice, and K. Shanmugam, Singaporean Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law discussed judicial and legal cooperation between the two countries at a meeting also attended by Mohammed Ahmad Hamel Al Qubaisi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Singapore, Mohammed bin Hamad Al Badi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, Assistant Undersecretaries, and Umej Singh Bhatia, Singaporean Ambassador to the UAE.
Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of International Cooperation and Development, has held extensive talks with the Singaporean Minister for Foreign Affairs, K. Shanmugam and his delegation, on ways to support efforts in international development, stimulating the response to crises and providing emergency humanitarian support to those affected, in cooperation with international humanitarian organizations.
