General Information

·        All legal documents issued in Canada must be submitted by hand or mail to the following address:

·        Request for Authentication Services FORM must be completed.

 

·        All legal documents issued in Canada (commercial or personal) must be notarized separately (if it is a photocopy) and must be authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs Trade and Development Canada prior to sending them to the UAE EMBASSY.

·        The Embassy accepts CANADIAN Money order/Certified Cheque or Bank draft ONLY made payable to UAE EMBASSY-OTTAWA.   

Note: THE EMBASSY DOES NOT ACCEPT ANY FORM OF PAYMENT ISSUED OUTSIDE CANADA.

Money orders, certified cheques or drafts issued to the Embassy are non-refundable.

 

·        A prepaid return envelope is required. (Canada Post -express post envelope or computer generated waybill from any courier). You can get this online thru the courier’s website, and attached this along with your documents. To avoid delay, please write your complete name and address on the return envelope. The Embassy is not responsible for any lost or delay of any document while in transit going back to the return address provided.

 

·        The Embassy requires a minimum of 3 – 5 business days to process any document.

Same day Service – Submit your document between 9:30AM-12:00 NOON 

Pick - up between 2:00PM - 3:00 PM.

 

·        Documents issued from the United Arab Emirates with UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) stamp can be legalize/authenticate at the UAE Embassy in Ottawa or the UAE Consulate General in Toronto. 

 

·        Degrees or other academic documents issued outside Canada can be attested at the United Arab Emirates Embassy in the country of issue (or nearest United Arab Emirates Embassy, if not available in issuing country).

FAQ’S

 

How do I get my diploma, university degree, transcript attested?

 

a)            For verification purposes you MUST order transcript from the Canadian Institution and have it mail directly to 125 Boteler St. Ottawa, Ontario K1N 0A4 Attention: Consular Section.

b)            The documents (diploma, university degree, and transcript) must first have it authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada.

c)            Once you have received your authenticated document(s) from the Canadian Foreign Affairs, bring or mail the document(s) to the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates with a money order, certified cheque or bank draft for the appropriate amount  payable to UAE Embassy –Ottawa and a computer generated waybill from any courier or express mail envelope from Canada Post.
